Food plays a roll in all of my books. Whether it's a restaurant or someone's profession, my characters love to eat.
In To Have Faith you find out
about Ben's not so great youth. As a teen, he worked as a bouncer at the local
tavern and ate what he could swipe from the kitchen. Years later, he still
remembers the recipe and teaches it to Adam as they prepare for the return of
the rest of the crew while they were away. Now we're going to share that recipe with you!
2 pounds Italian sausage
1 onion, finely diced
1 green bell pepper, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes
3 tablespoons tomato paste
½ cup whiskey :)
1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 tablespoon ground cumin
1/2 tablespoon cayenne pepper (or to taste)
1 tablespoon salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
