The Next Forgotten Brotherhood Book!

Who are the Forgotten Brotherhood? They’re a group of paranormal assassins, the misfits that other paranormal creatures fear. They aren’t the monsters lurking under the bed. They’re the ones that kill them.

They live by a strict code: Kill only those that truly deserve it and let their gods sort them out. Kill them before they kill you. Never, ever betray a fellow assassin.

BURNING ASH, book three of the series, is up for pre-order now!

Burning Ash Forgotten Brotherhood, Book 3

No one is more surprised than Asher, one of the oldest vampires on Earth, that he's attracted to vamp hunter Jo Radcliffe. She's smart, a talented slayer, and she's gorgeous. Something about her pulls at him, like no one ever has before. For a man, whose name strikes fear in everyone––this is something new and intriguing. And quite possibly deadly, if she discovers his secret.

Jo has two things in common with the handsome Asher––they are both slayers and someone is messing with them in a very-much-trying-to-kill-them way. She's not so happy about joining forces with a dude she doesn't know. But he's sexy as hell and really good at his job as one of the Forgotten Brotherhood, whose business it is to execute misbehaving paranormals.

She knows she's bait in a larger plot to harm Asher and the Brotherhood. And there is nothing he won't do, no line he won't cross, to keep her safe––which may be the weakness that destroys them both.

TEASER:

“Who the hell are you?” she demanded of the tall, lean man who was still mostly in the shadows. Whoever he was, he was dangerous, maybe even more so than the creature she’d just beheaded. He’d come out of nowhere and snatched the crossbow bolt out of the air like it hadn’t even been moving.

A shiver raced down her spine.

Dressed all in black, he blended with the dark. She hadn’t known he was there until he’d deliberately come forward. And she always had total situational awareness. It was a matter of survival.

Her profession had a very high mortality rate.

A nudge of his foot sent the vampire’s head rolling back toward the body. The undead would need to be burned if he didn’t start disintegrating soon, but she was keeping her distance from the man in black.

“Asher.” He gave her a half bow. “And you are?”

A quick shake of her head. “You don’t need to know.”

“That hardly seems fair considering I saved your life.”

“It didn’t need saving,” she asserted. “I’d already moved.”

“True,” Asher conceded. “You’re fast, but I didn’t know that. I should get points for the attempt.” He sauntered out of the dark and fully into the candlelight. The flames flickered over his face, exposing a strong jaw, straight nose, and high forehead. His blond hair was pulled back in a short tail at his nape. His skin was olive-toned or tanned, hard to say. Piercing brown eyes stared at her.

Good looking was much to tame. Handsome didn’t fit either. There was something dangerous and predatory lurking beneath the surface. Primal. Compelling. Yeah, that was it.

It was time for her to leave.

“While I appreciate the assist, I’ve got this.” She jerked her head toward the door, hoping he’d take the hint.

A ghost of a smile flickered on his full lips before it disappeared. “I’ve got nowhere I need to be.”

“Great,” she muttered.

His laugh slid down her spine, a whisper of heat. Her nipples puckered and rubbed against her bra. Uh. No. The last thing she needed was some kind of fatal attraction. Because he was one of two things—a fellow hunter or another vampire. Neither of which were good for her.

“Come now, I’ll help you clean up this mess. Then we can get a cup of coffee somewhere, maybe talk.”

“It’s almost one in the morning. Nothing around here is open.” God, she was tired. She just wanted to fry this vampire and leave. Usually they disintegrated fairly quickly. This one was taking his sweet time. He either wasn’t truly dead yet or he was very young. The older they were, the quicker they turned to ash.

Ash.

“Your name is Asher?”

He inclined his head. “At your service.”

Take a Peek Inside FURY UNLEASHED

Spring is in the air, and with it comes new beginnings, including the first book in my new series. I’m so excited about the release of FURY UNLEASED on March 23rd and thought I’d share an excerpt.

Fury Unleashed
Forgotten Brotherhood, Book One

Maccus Fury, a fallen angel, is trying hard to keep his sanity. Seems being an assassin might be catching up with him. Now, Heaven, or Hell, has sent a beautiful assassin to kill him. Lovely. She’s pretending to seduce him, and he’s okay with that. She’s smart and snarky—but she has no idea what she’s walked into. And he’s more than peeved that they only sent one person. They’re going to need an army if they want him dead.

Morrigan Quill is one of Hell’s bounty hunters. She sold her soul to keep her sister safe, and now she’s working off her contract by catching bad guys and dragging them back to hell. When Lucifer makes her a new offer––that’s definitely too good to be true—she can’t say no. All she has to do is kill a powerful and crazy-hot fallen angel, who will totally kick her ass in battle.

Good thing he won’t see what’s coming next.

EXCERPT:

“Well? Are we doing this?” This wasn’t about flowers and promises of forever. This was about two people having hot, sweaty, and, hopefully, satisfying sex. She shoved down the tiny part of her that yearned for the flowers and promises.

“Oh, we’re doing it.” There was a grim determination in the words and tone that raised her hackles.

“Don’t put yourself out.” Shut up, Morrigan. Great, now I’m arguing with myself. And losing. “No need to do me any favors?” Why was she arguing, when the goal was to get him naked? “Trust me. I’m not.”

That’s not ominous. Not at all.

He removed his jacket and hung it on a hook on the back of the bathroom door. Then he yanked the black tank top over his head and dropped it on the floor, exposing the huge expanse of his muscled chest.

The man was built like a god—wide shoulders, a deep chest, and biceps like small mountains. But it was the tattoos that drew her. They were everywhere.

Lethal throwing knives covered each side of his torso. He had a haladie, an ancient weapon with blades extending from both ends of a central handle inked on both arms. The details were incredible. It seemed that if she reached out, she could pluck them off his skin and use them to kill an enemy. Push daggers were etched into his palms. Like their name implied, they were small but deadly blades with a grip that allowed you to push them into your target.

A walking arsenal, all in dark ink.

Wednesday Antics ~ Bearing It All is Coming Soon!

Good Wednesday morning, Divas and Divos! Michele and I are so freaking busy, I can't even explain it properly. We're in the midst of writing five books right now, with Caden being by far the largest we have written. (He should come in somewhere around 110k)

However, we do have a new release coming soon! March 15th to be exact! We're so proud of our TSU (Turnskin University) series. We're on to book 3, with hopefully Silence isn't Golden book 4 and One Night with A Wolf book 5 out sometime this fall.

Until then, you can catch up with Unrequited Mate here and Sorority Row here!

Blurb:

Emma Monte has three really big secrets. One, she’s the guardian of her little sister Cassidy. Two, she loves everything 80’s inspired and three, she’s throwing the biggest wedding she can for her friends—okay, so maybe the second isn’t really a secret. When she’s invited to spend spring break with Hayden and her family in Window Rock, Arizona, all of her secrets will be revealed.

Bodhi Raferty has been biding his time. He knows the little bear is his mate, but he’s willing to wait—if it means spending more time with her. When the opportunity arises to go home, he ready to take that final step and claim Emma for his own. However, his mate is hiding something huge. The only question is, can he help her pull it off?

Bodhi and Emma aren’t the only ones in for a surprise. As the week’s events unfold, there is a pair of Rafertys ready to be introduced, and they have the ability to upstage them all.

Excerpt:

Emma stepped out of the truck, bag in hand, and took in her surroundings. From the porch, a man, who looked suspiciously like Bodhi called out, announcing their arrival. A mass of people, and she didn't use the term lightly, exited the house. Emma took a step back and ran into Bodhi, who grunted.

“Easy, pinky. Nothing to be afraid of. They’re family.” He wrapped his arm around “her middle.

She sucked in a breath. Her heart hammered. He. Was. Touching. Her. The warmth and security he offered her, soothed some of her nerves, but also made her anxious in another way. “Thanks.”

He leaned down. “You’re welcome.” His lips brushed the shell of her ear, and she thought she’d died and gone to heaven.

As the adults exited the house, she noticed one thing straight away. They were like Bell's co-ed house. All of them were different, yet they fit together. Misfits. Three people stepped forward. A curvy woman, rounded by her pregnant belly, along with a man who looked just like Bodhi, and another man with white-blond hair and light-green eyes.

Bodhi urged her forward. “Mom. Dads. This is Emma.”

The man who looked like Bodhi stepped forward. The minute he smiled, his whole appearance changed. His harsh features softened. “You did good, son.” The man stopped in front of her. “I’m Jace. My mates are Loraine and Blake.” He held his hand out to her.

Emma rubbed her hand on her jean-shorts worried it might be sweaty. When she placed her palm in Jace’s he embraced her. The tight hug was filled with love and welcoming. Tears sprung to her eyes. She hadn’t been hugged like that since her mom and dad. “Hi,” she murmured.

“Don’t hog her all to yourself,” the woman said, placing her hand on her belly.

“Precious,” Jace growled, the sound vibrated through Emma.

“Yeah, don’t be an asshole,” Blake stated. “We want our turn, too.” He winked at Emma “when she glanced at him.

Jace released her and she was enveloped by a very pregnant, very happy woman. “It’s so good to have you here. Bodhi has told us all about you.”

Had he? Holy guacamole. “It’s nice to meet you, too. Thank you for allowing us to stay with you.”

The woman laughed, and it filled Emma’s soul with happiness. “Don’t thank us, yet.”

Blake was next. He held her hands, then spun her around. She giggled. Her cheeks heated when he gave a curt nod. “Yep, my son did well. Very good.”

“Mom!” Hayden pushed through everyone standing around and gathered Loraine in her arms. “Oh my God. Look at you!” She placed her hand on the woman’s belly. “I can’t believe we’re here. I can’t believe we’ll have a baby soon.”

“Didn’t Blake tell you?” Jace hugged her.

Hayden shook her head no.

“Babies, squirt,” Jace said.

“Babies?” Hayden squealed as she bounced in place. “Do you know the sex?”

Jace shook his head. “We want it to be a surprise.”

On the porch stood a large man. He had a protective arm wrapped around a woman who reminded her of, well, herself. He held onto her like Bodhi had done to her, and though she didn’t want to read into it, she hoped it meant what she thought it did.

“Whoa . . . their family is huge,” Cassidy said, coming up next to her. “Have you ever?”

Emma shook her head. “Never.”

“Do you think they’ll eat us?”

She laughed and pulled her sister to her side. “No way. Do you want to meet everyone?”

Eilte Metal- Adamantium's Roar by Anna Alexander

No, this is not a repeat post. Yes, Elite Metal is on the cusp of taking over the world! Not really, but it would be nice. :)

When I was approached to be a part of this amazing box set, the only thing I was told was the hero had to have a code name that was the same as a metal. I said, "If I can name him Adamantium, I'm in." The response was a resounding, "YES!"

Some of my inspiration
Sure, adamantium isn't a "real" metal, but I wasn't going to give up the opportunity to drop a huge comic book Easter egg. And that's not the only egg. Just to name a few, there is a little homage to Wolverine right on the first page, and Ant rides a Harley Davidson Duo Glide. The same bike ridden by Hugh Jackman in Wolverine: Origins. Another yes!

In Elite Metal, Adamantium is the techno-nerd of the group. A hot, sexy, techno-nerd who is an artist and designed video games during his forced hiatus from the Marines. I loved writing his story, and I hope you all fall in love with him too. Here's a little taste of Adamantium's Roar.

Blurb-

Adamantium feels right at home being back to what he does best with his Elite Metal buddies, especially if it keeps his mind off her.  Beth Bradshaw. His best friend’s girl. But when their paths cross again, he discovers Beth is in the hands of a dangerous man. Vow or no vow to his Elite Metal family, Ant will do anything to claim the woman he loves.

Excerpt-

Was he flirting with her? Her husband’s best friend? The quiet guy who had always seemed to be more interested in video games and computers than women? Oh, he had had the occasional girlfriend, but never a relationship one would call serious, at least that she had seen. And he had never given any indication that he thought of her as a woman. As in a real woman. As in a potential mate and bed partner.

But there was certainly a vibe coming from him now. A subtle flex of muscles and a narrowing of his gaze that suggested he was interested in far more than merely reminiscing about the past.

“Here we go,” he said as he steered the car off the freeway. Two blocks further down the road, he turned into a driveway of a motel. “We’re already checked in and the parking lot is in the back, so we won’t be seen from the streets. When we get settled why don’t you take a bath, relax, and I’ll get us some dinner and some shoes for you.”

At the word “bath” she imagined being soaking wet and naked while Adamantium stood on the other side of the bathroom door in all of his manliness as he prepared to turn in for the night. Somehow she didn’t think he wore pajamas to bed.

“Oh,” she said and tried to control her racing heartbeat. “Um, sure.”

Holy cow. Was she seriously getting turned on by her oldest friend?

“Sit tight here while I do a quick check around,” he said as he parked the car. Once he climbed out, he stood by the side of the Charger. His tight backside was perfectly framed by the driver’s side window.

She closed her eyes on a groan. Dear lord, she was.

And what is a mega release without a contest? Enter below. Enter! Enter! Enter! And preorder Elite Metal now for 99 cents! I want to add more exclamation points, but you get the idea.

Until next time-

So What's Next?

I find I ask myself that question a lot. And a valid answer is always, "I know, I'll write a dark fantasy!" So that's just what I did. Assassin Queen is my newest labor of love. I just turned in the first round of edits and couldn't wait to share all the details.

Blurb:

At sixteen Lilavati was banished from her mother’s kingdom by her stepfather. She was the rightful heir, but with the queen carrying a new child she had to choose between exile or death. Instead of facing the executioner, she fled in the middle of the night like a common thief—leaving behind everyone and everything she ever loved, including the dashing knight who’d stolen her young heart, Naresh.

Now, ten years later, Lilavati isn’t the naive, helpless princess she’d once been. Life on the run has hardened her. It’s also given her time to formulate a plan to take back the kingdom that should be hers and access to criminals, assassins, and a ruthless spell-caster named Kirin who can make that plan a reality. If she can keep the sorcerer focused on the goal and not the ill-advised attraction between them, that is. When she hears of her mother’s death, she knows it’s time to act. She will have everything that is rightfully hers. But she’s not the only one that’s changed since her departure. Her once strong kingdom is dying. It needs a savor not a conqueror.

Kirin agreed to work with Lilavati because he enjoys being near the aloof princess. He’s drawn to her confidence and determination. But when she starts using that determination to keep him at a distance, he’s not nearly so fond of the attribute. A promise she made to another ten years ago is keeping her out of his bed. When he discovers her knight in shining armor is married and has kids, though, all bets are off. But no matter how many times he shares her bed, it’s not enough. He’ll have to figure out a way to make the princess surrender her heart. It’s not going to be easy with his reputation. But if he can save her kingdom, he might have a shot.

The book is scheduled to release March 24th, 2015 from Fated Desires Publishing! It's already on Goodreads, however, so you can add it to one of your shelves:
