Howdy all! Did you think I died?

I know. It’s been forever since you’ve seen me. And I know I say this every time but seriously, where has the year gone?

While I’ve been focusing on me and my family, I’ve still been working away and am so happy that the next book in the Sprawling A series is ready for pre-order and can be in your hands on July 18^th!

But besides the plugging away on the book, I’ve had a pretty active spring. In February I had the pleasure of attending what ended up being the last Wild Wicked Weekend. Sad, I know. Good thing I took lots of pictures of me, and my friends, and my new friends, and the crazy activities we participated in and can share them with you. Well, almost all of the hijinks. I know there are pictures of me and Taylor having pretend sex during Sex Position Gumby somewhere in the universe just waiting to hit the net in the future.

Then in March was at the Emerald City Comic Con. This was my first year as a vendor, and I had an amazing time!!! I met so many people and had the immense joy of introducing the idea of a superhero romance to a new group of geeky-folks.  Fingers-crossed I get to go back next year.

Registration for the Emerald City Writers Conference is on!

Now is the time, y'all. Registration for the 26th annual Emerald City Writers Conference is open and ready to welcome you.

What is ECWC? Sponsored by the Greater Seattle Romance Writers of America, it's one of the largest and longest running writer's conferences on the west coast. For three days you can sit in on workshops on craft, business, writer's life, and research topics. There are also opportunities to pitch to editors and agents, network with you favorite authors, and have an all around kick ass good time.

The conference will be held at the fabulous Bellevue Westin in Bellevue, Washington on October 16-18th, 2015.

Whew! I just returned from the Emerald City Writer’s Conference. It was a great weekend featuring workshops with amazing speakers, exciting industry professionals and tasty food. My favorite part of any conference is the chance to meet new people (including readers and authors I love, such as Victoria Dahl!) and the opportunity to reconnect with old friends.

It was so much fun to learn that my friend  Melia Alexander sold her first book (YAY) and Lucy Carol just released her second (Awesome). It was fun to catch up with Julie Brannagh, Ann Charles, Wendy Delaney and more…  Even Terry McLaughlin, president of Romance Writers of America was there!

I love to be handed a microphone (be afraid, be very afraid) so I was thrilled to talk about writing steamy books with Anna Alexander and Gail Bridges at a session entitled Behind Closed Doors. With the talented Shoshanna Evers as our moderator…how could we fail??

I also got to talk to some of the leading editors and agents in the business.

Whew! What a weekend. My mind is still spinning.
