I'm off to Phoenix today to attend For the Love of Books and Phoenix on Saturday, October 20. Coincidentally my brother lives in Phoenix so I will get some time to spend with him and his family. Then I will have the honor of meeting with readers at the signing and seeing some writer friends, including Victoria Saccenti, Maria-Elena Alonso-Sierra, and Dorothy F. Shaw. It is the final leg in what has been a wonderful year traveling the country for various signings. I have met so many interesting people. Anyone who says romance readers aren't as engaging as those in other genres hasn't made an effort to meet them. Everywhere I have gone, from Nashville to Dallas to Cocoa Beach to Seattle to Reno to right near me in Staten Island, NY., I have had a wonderful time with friends new and renewed. It has also been the best way to network with other writers in my genre.
Next year won't be quite as active, but I will be going to Wild Wicked Weekend in San Antonio, Kinky in Kansas City, Delightfully Dirty in Dallas and Tempted and Tantalizing in Staten Island. I will also be attending a few author-oriented conferences. Maybe I'll see you there!
