THE END OF SUMMER

The end of summer is always bittersweet for me. I love the lazy days of the season, with no schedules, homework, or rushing around in the mornings to make sure my son gets to school on time. Spontaneous pool parties happen at a moment's notice, barbecues with a bit too much wine and beer, forgotten sunscreen. Summer makes me feel like a kid again.

This summer was eventful for a number of reasons. I released my very first erotic romance, The Submissive Muse, which is getting great reviews.

I fell in love for the first time in 15 years with an old boyfriend I dated 35 years before. (I know!) And I actively started going through menopause, instead of simply flirting with it. (Always hugely exciting for a woman. Ahem.)

But alas, I haven't done any writing on a new book and it's time for ASS IN CHAIR. So I bid the sweet summer adieu and vow to not take 3 months to get back into the swing of things.

Here's hoping you all had a deliciously sexy summer!

Excerpt

“Tell me about our first kiss.”

“Wow.” Her brows rose. “You change gears quickly.” Her soft chuckle made his breath hitch and his fingers tightened where they had landed on her hip. He was pleased when he felt an answering shudder race through her.

He shrugged. “I’m curious about you. About us. I want to hear about something happy.”

“You think our first kiss was a happy memory?”

“It wasn’t?” How could it not have been?

Greta threw her head back and laughed long and hard. Her hair rippled down her back and her shoulders shook as he stared at her with both confusion and amusement. It was the first time he had earned a genuine smile from her and he wanted to do it again.

“Our first kiss.” She sobered and bit her lip as her gaze focused inward. This time when she laughed it was with a low and husky purr. It poured over him like syrup and pooled in his groin. “We’d been dancing, and you were trying to convince me that I was your girl. You pulled a macho move and planted one on me as I was trying to walk away. It was the funniest thing ever.”

“Why was it funny?”

“Because it was all soft and lippy and really wet. I was surprised that the great love-’em-and-leave-’em Trey Armstrong was a piss-poor kisser.” She giggled.

“That can’t be right.” He looked away in disbelief and shifted in his seat. “You must be remembering it wrong.”

“You’re questioning my memory?”

“Well, yeah.” He didn’t recall having any troubles where the ladies were concerned. She must be playing with him. “I couldn’t have been that bad. You obviously stuck with me.”

“I had to retrain you.”

Retrain him, huh? “Was I a quick study?” he smirked.
Her expression took on a dreamy quality that had him thinking of hot summer nights tangled in crisp cool sheets. “Yeah, you were.”

He leaned in close, close enough to smell the wine on her breath. It was impossible to take his eyes off her succulent lips. “Do you think I still remember how?”

Greta’s eyes widened at the unspoken request in his query. “You’d have to tell me,” she whispered.

He dipped his head ever so slowly. Watching, waiting to see if she’d pull away. Her gaze fell to his lips, making them tingle in anticipation until he pressed his mouth to hers. Remembering her “soft lips” comment, he kept his touch firm. When he felt her smile in response, he slanted his mouth over hers and coaxed her to open for him.

She gasped and melted in his embrace, her arms slipping around his neck to hold on tight. She tasted of wine and spice, and he wanted more. Her little whimpers pushed the need to claim her to the breaking point, twisting and twisting until he thought he would snap.

Hot damn. Her kiss burned him to the core. If he could, he’d crawl inside her and not leave for days. His shaft throbbed and reminded him that it had been awhile since he had engaged in any vigorous activity. Since he couldn’t remember the last time he had had a taste of her body, it felt how like he suspected he had the first time with her, hot desperate and completely out of control.

Which was why he needed to stop. Now.

The need to take her slow, then fast, then slow again was strong. But the need to have her trust was greater. She was holding back. He felt it. Any information about their relationship he’d had to coax from her like getting a newborn calf to accept a new mama. She hadn’t refused to answer his questions, but she hadn’t elaborated, either. For some reason she was hiding something, and that bothered him.

With a strength he didn’t know he possessed, he tore away, leaving them both struggling for breath.

Her lips were swollen and wet, her eyes dazed as she blinked up at him. “Yeah, you remembered,” she said as she exhaled.

“I’m not gonna lie to you, Greta.” His throat was so raw it hurt. “I want you. Want you something fierce. From the moment I first saw you, you called to me. My head might not remember you, but my body sure does.”

Until next time, y'all!

To Have Faith- New Release by Anna Alexander!

Have you seen? Have. You. Seen?!?

To Have Faith, the third book in the Men of the Sprawling A Ranch series is live for your reading pleasure.

And yes, that is two men on the cover. I know. My mother was scandalized and my father just shook his head and said, "I don't ask."

So why did I write a menage romance? Well, it didn't start out that way. When the fellas on the ranch began to pester me to write their stories, Ben was one of the first to come to mind. I started to wonder about who he was as a man. He was the oldest ranch hand and had been on the ranch the longest. Hmm... early forties, six-foot plus, big, muscle-bound, and knows how to use a rope...he had to be into kink!

Yep, Ben was kinky. And being in a small town was not conducive to finding a willing partner, so Ben was convinced he'd die alone. Then Faith appeared and possibilities abounded. Now Colby on the other hand was just meant to add some excitement to Faith's instructions, but once the three of them got together, I couldn't imagine them apart. In my mind, the three of them made sense, and I hope you all see the same magic as I do and enjoy their story. :)

Blurb:

Ben Castillo was every woman’s fantasy. More precisely, Faith O’Leary’s fantasy. Tall, broad, and oh-so handsome, he had a deep voice, and big hands, and the best part of all – he was just as kinky as the rumors suggested. Even kinkier. When he agreed to help Faith explore her submissive nature, she mistakenly thought her biggest obstacle would be in getting Ben to believe her when she said she wasn’t going to walk away after his tutelage was over. Instead she finds herself facing the scorn of their conservative community when it’s discovered that their relationship also included time spent with his cute roommate Colby.

Ben was convinced his time with Faith was limited, and she’d move on to someone closer to her own age and settle down once she had her fun. The vicious gossip going around town is a sign for him to walk away from the woman he’s come to love, but Colby thinks Ben’s a fool, and will do whatever he can to ensure a happy ending. For all of them.

Excerpt:

Ben’s knees threatened to buckle, and for a second, he was tempted to fall back into the chair in order to catch his breath.

There she was. Little Faith O’Leary. Standing before him in her pretty blue shirt and black mini-skirt, asking him to teach her how to be submissive. This had to be a dream.

But damn him, he wanted this to be real. He wanted her to be his. He wanted her on her knees with her mouth parted, ready to take his cock down her throat.

Fuck him to hell and back. What was he thinking? Faith deserved more than to be treated with such objectification. She deserved to be romanced, to be laid on a mattress with soft music, candlelight, and have sweet nothings whispered in her ear. With him, she’d get a hardwood floor, the bite of leather around her wrists, and filthy commands growled against her breasts.

Now that wasn’t to say a little down and dirty was a bad thing. Sure, he’d met his fair share of women who craved the darker passions like him, but Faith wasn’t one of them. She was too pure to be depraved.
But didn’t she make a tempting morsel, offering herself up to the devil with her big blue eyes, full pouty lips, and those pretty nipples straining against the fabric of her shirt, practically begging him to latch on and make her cry out in pleasure.

No. No. No. He blinked hard against the rush of desire that hardened his muscles and then some. He wouldn’t take what she thought she was willing to give.

As he opened his mouth to tell her she was misinformed about whatever gossip the rumor mill had churned out, her shoulders slumped, and a tinge of pink raced up her neck as her lips trembled in what looked like embarrassment.

Silly girl. If there was one thing he was certain of, it was that a woman should never be embarrassed to ask for more, especially when it came to their sexuality. It was a struggle he heard many of his female friends in the BDSM community deliberate over and over again. For centuries women had been fighting the ideology that if they were meek in the bedroom, they were prudes, but if they demanded sexual fulfillment, they were whores. What the world needed to understand was they were human beings who deserved satisfaction just like their fellow men.

Faith had every right to take control of her sexuality. He just didn’t think he was the best person to guide her on her journey.

He swiped his hand over his face and sighed. “I’m more of a top than a Dom.”

A soft gasp parted her lips and the sparkle returned to her eyes. “Will you explain the difference?”

He sighed again and felt his throat grow tight. Where to begin?

Hungry for more? Go get it! And check the back of the book for a special offer for the next book in the Sprawling A series.

A Writer's Muse

As a writer, I find it helpful to visualize my male protagonist when I'm creating a story.  Most of the time, I have an idea in my head of what they look like. Sometimes they just come to me as the story evolves.  But it's great when you find a picture of an actor, model or athlete that closely resembles your character.  I'm currently working on three projects at the moment and these two gentlemen above are my inspiration. (Can you tell, I just LOVE long hair.) Hope you enjoy.  They are beautiful men.
Comment if you recognize them ladies and who's your favorite. I'm a sucker for tall, dark and handsome myself. But that's just me.  So I guess that tells you which one is my favorite. LOL

Warmly,

Erin Simone, Author

Kinky Toes by Suz deMello

Genre: contemporary erotic romance

Shelbie Nathanson resents Rick Saldano's ascension to C.O.O. of her family's shoe company, a job she's wanted all her life. But she can't resist his red-hot, sexy style of lovemaking... one that focuses on her passion: shoes.

Writing Kinky Toes by Suz deMello (#kinkysex #foot fetish @fetlife @MFRW_ORG)

This short story was the first I wrote about a form of sexual desire in which I have no interest whatsoever. Okay, I like a pair of pretty shoes as much as the next girl, but I’m not sexually aroused by feet or footwear. The first time a man sucked my toes was after a hot and sweaty bike ride, and candidly, I thought the experience a little disgusting. Not for me—I wasn’t doing the sucking—but for the guy. Nevertheless, he seemed to really enjoy it, despite the unsanitary nature of the activity. (He was a doctor, too, which made what he did even more puzzling).

But each to his own, I say, and if someone indulges a fetish and doesn’t hurt anyone else (except with consent, of course) who am I to judge?

I wrote Kinky Toes during a time when I was exploring ways to keep the writing fresh by focusing on fetishes I hadn’t previously written about. Queen’s Quest (http://www.ellorascave.com/queen-s-quest.html) is another story from that period, and it posits a society in which exhibitionism is rampant and public sex perfectly acceptable—the conformation of the futuristic planet I invented is such that birthrates are low, and anything to get new births is encouraged.

I’m neither an exhibitionist nor a foot fetishist, so both stories were a departure for me. I didn’t know anything about foot or shoe fetishes, so I had to research both subjects.  Kinky Toes is the result.

Here’s what it’s about:
Genre: contemporary erotic romance
Shelbie Nathanson resents Rick Saldano's ascension to C.O.O. of her family's shoe company, a job she's wanted all her life. But she can't resist his red-hot, sexy style of lovemaking... one that focuses on her passion: shoes.

Here’s a snippet to sharpen your interest:

In the cab, Shelbie became even more aware of Rick, if that were possible. He was big. Not fat, but solid, sizable, with broad shoulders and an obviously muscular body beneath his suit. She couldn’t help sneaking a peek at his crotch. The suit’s fabric had pulled tight as he sat, tight enough that she could guess that six-foot-two Rick’s body parts were proportional.

Her mood had definitely changed.

He leaned closer, hesitated the tiniest fraction of a second before he brushed his lips against her cheek. Shocked, she jerked away, but he didn’t move, his gaze still pinned to hers.

She didn’t move either. The air felt thick, as though the very atmosphere were holding her in place. They sat staring at each other until the cabbie harrumphed. “Where to, folks?”

After giving the cabbie an address she didn’t recognize, Rick didn’t say anything during the cab ride. Rigid with a tension she couldn’t define, Shelbie didn’t have a word to say either, not even when he picked up one of her feet and rested it in his lap, atop his very substantial hard-on. She wiggled her foot and the stiletto heel slid across the bulge in his pants.

He sighed, so she did it again. Then again. He clamped his lips tight shut, apparently stifling a groan as his erection swelled even more.

He slid one finger along the exposed arch of her foot. It didn’t feel ticklish, exactly, but was tingly, the kind of tingle her pussy liked.

He inserted his finger into her toe cleavage. The spot between the big toe and the next was tiny, smaller than his index finger. His abrupt thrust hurt a little, and Shelbie had a mad vision of the time when she’d lost her virginity. Her pussy had been too small for the tool her then-boyfriend had wielded.

She had that same feeling now, an ache as something big intruded into her body’s smaller space. She tried to pull away but he persisted, twisting his finger until he’d pushed in as far as her shoe would allow.

He sawed his finger in and out and she bit down on her lower lip to avoid moaning aloud. She flung her head back, panting as he rotated his finger.

They arrived outside a row of brownstones near the park. He slipped his finger out of her toe cleavage and gave her foot a squeeze. An awkwardness she hadn’t felt since teenage sex overcame her as she dropped her feet to the cab’s floor. Rick paid the fare, ushered her out of the taxi and into the building…his building, she supposed.

The moment they were alone in the elevator, she sprang at him and pressed her lips against his. He wrapped his arms around her and held her tight as his tongue invaded her mouth. She sucked at him hard, shoving her hands into his hair. He tasted and felt divine.
Her body was aflame, all light and heat, and he picked her up as though she were made of insubstantial fire, weighing nothing...

Heartbreak on a Stick by Sabrina York
When A-List movie star Jason Sherwood returns to the hometown that once rejected him, he has one goal in mind: Getting revenge on the woman who broke his heart so many years ago. But when he discovers his assumptions about her were wrong, he only wants to win her back. Hopefully, it’s not too late.
Gina Fox has always pined for her high school lover…and now he has returned, turning her world upside down. But life isn’t as simple now as it was then. And she can’t get over the fact that Jason walked away from her without a word. When he launches a sultry seduction, she tries, with everything in her, to resist…because at his core, Jason is nothing but heartbreak on a stick.
Read an excerpt:

“Gina.”
Hell. Even now, she heard his voice, dancing on the breeze.
“Gina.”
Louder now. More substantive.
Her heart lurched. Her head swung around. She stared.
Oh shit.
This was not a fantasy or her imagination or even a wish. He was here.
She scrambled to her feet and brushed off her butt, forcing her knees to lock, even though they wobbled. “Jace— Um, Jason.”
He was tall. Much taller than he’d been. And broad. His shoulders were breathtaking. And his muscles—muscles the boy had not had, honed through years of working out for parts, no doubt—filled his tight black T-shirt.
She ripped her gaze away from the tantalizing bulges to the lines of his face. Gawd. Tantalizing there too. His lips—which she remembered, tasted still—full and lush. His dark eyes were fringed with sinful lashes. The scar on his right eyebrow, the dimples, the curve of his cheek.
It was difficult to breathe.
“I-I didn’t expect to see you here.”
He smiled and something in her gut quivered. “I didn’t expect to see you.” He took a step closer. And another. “You… look good.” His throat worked.
“You, ah, you too.” Good was not the word.
She’d drooled over the TV screen Sunday nights when Blood Curse came on—the few times she’d dared to watch. Jason as a tormented vampire was irresistible. But his screen persona was nothing to his presence here now. He was like a beautiful spider’s web, luring her closer for one more glance when she knew, if she came too close, she would be trapped, consumed.
Her instincts told her to run.

She resolved not to. She resolved to face him. And be…civil.
