More testing and My Birthday!!!

More testing was supposed to happen today but insurance shenanigans happened and it all had to be pushed out till the 20th. Which is bittersweet. Would love to be done with it but a break is nice too. Especially since I tested positive for strep...again.....yesterday.

But my birthday is coming up next Monday which I can't wait for! I love my birthday. It's such an amazing day. I survived another year and this next year has the potential to be even more amazeballs than this year!! So much fantastic to be had and I'm going to enjoy every minute of it.

Love you guys and hope you have a fabulous start to December!!

Her Creed by Jennifer Kacey

Review from The Jeep Diva - "I finished reading it a couple of days ago and the only thought that is still running through my head is that it is most certainly the dirtiest book I’ve ever read… and I liked it."

Fighters take the ultimate prize for victory…
Underage KC snuck into the underground fight club called The Cage. But it was no ordinary fight club. The participants didn’t battle for titles or a useless belt to collect dust. The men and women brawled for only one thing. To be the victor and take the spoils of war they’d earned with their blood, sweat and tears. Not for money or jewels. They fought for the right to take the loser in any way—and any hole—of their choosing.
But KC was discovered by one of the bouncers and taken to a room with no way out. To the office of the owner, Creed, who held more than just her fate in his hands…
He’d seen hundreds of warriors find their way to his door with visions of grandeur and conquest. But it took a girl not yet a woman to remind him why he worked so tirelessly day in and day out. Her eyes. They would haunt him long after he threw her out of his arena and told her never to return.
Years later, they meet again, and KC is ready to take her place amongst his fighters. Creed wants nothing to do with the woman she’s become, but their fate has an interesting way of setting things right.
Consent has never seen this kind of fight club…

Reader Advisory - Her Creed rides a very thin line between consensual and non-consensual sex. Readers sensitive to portrayals of non-consensual sex should be advised.
Mmmmmm....non-con

Tristan’s Temptation by Sabrina York #Giveaway

Tristan’s Temptation by Sabrina York
The red-hot sequel to Adam’s Obsession.

Tristan Trillo has one steadfast rule—thou shalt not fish in the company pond. That puts his executive assistant Shannon Weiss firmly out of reach. He tells himself the secret steamy computer simulations he creates—ones featuring a seductress with more than a passing resemblance to Shannon—are enough. But watching the virtual Shannon get spanked or tied up, taken from behind or while down on her knees, just makes him want the real Shannon more.

When Shannon discovers the depth of Tristan’s desire, she vows to seduce him in real life, his rule be damned. After a blazing, illicit tryst in Tristan’s office, he insists they can never do it again. So Shannon, ever the obedient assistant, makes certain the next time she seduces him, they do something completely different.

Poor Tristan is a man trapped between his steadfast rule and a burning passion. A rock, if you will, and a very hard place.

READ AN EXCERPT

An Irresistible Temptation…
It was nearly ten that night when he finally broke down and called her. He used the phone, because they’d already done the computer thing, and he’d insisted that couldn’t happen again. The phone, for some reason, he could justify.
It took her a moment to pick up, though he knew she was home. He could see the light streaming softly through her windows as he stood on the bluff overlooking her house.
“Hello?” Her voice was soft, watery. Like she’d been crying.
“Shannon?”
“Tristan.” She fairly breathed his name.
“Are you all right?”
She sniffled. “Oh yeah. I was just, um, watching a movie. How are you?”
“I’m… good.” It was a lie. He was hungry and antsy and annoyed. “I’ve been thinking about you.” Like incessantly.
“Have you?” Her sniffles seemed to have cleared up. He watched as she stepped out onto the patio, wearing a terrycloth robe, cell phone in hand and looked up at his house. He sketched a wave.
“Yes. Have you been thinking about me?”
“A little.” He heard the smile in her voice.
“Just a little?”
“Well. Okay. A lot.” He watched as she sat on a lounge chair and pulled a blanket over her lower body. It was a cool night and her legs were bare.
“Did you just get out of the shower?” Something started to simmer in his groin.
“The bath.”
He groaned at the vision her words created in his head. “Did you have bubbles?”
“Not tonight. But I could do that, if it would interest you. I’d let you watch.”
“Would you?” He liked that idea. He liked it very much.
“Did you touch yourself while you were in the bath?”
She chortled. “Of course, Tristan. But do you know what?”
“What?” He was breathless with curiosity.
“I’m touching myself right now.”
“What!” He nearly dropped his cell over the cliff. Jesus. There. On the balcony. Outside!
“Oh yeah.” She moaned deep and low. He swore he could see her fingers undulating inside that robe, under the blanket, a quarter mile away. In the shadows.
“Shannon, Jesus. You’re killing me.”
She didn’t reply, but he watched as her knees rose to points in the distance as she shifted her body. Anyone else watching would have no idea that the woman relaxing on the lounger was slipping her fingers deep inside her body, but Tristan knew. He knew with a visceral jolt to his solar plexus as he heard her groan, the sharp gasps and the tiny little whimpers of pleasure. “Hell.” He squinted his eyes in a vain attempt to see her better. There in the dark. A quarter mile away.
“Oh yes.” Her voice was like velvet. “I’m so wet for you, Tristan. I’ve been thinking about you all day and I want you in me sooo bad.”
“Do you?” Hell. He wanted that too. More than fucking anything.
“Mmm. Do you know how hard my little nub is? It’s like a stone. So hard. So swollen. It feels so good when I touch it. I wish you could touch it. I wish you could lick it. I wish…”
But Shannon was talking to herself. Tristan had severed he connection and was heading for the door, his car keys and his hard on making twin bulges in his jeans.

READ AN EXCERPT!

Her Internet Lover…
“There’s something I want you to do.” His voice was low, hard; a certain, intense timbre vibrated through him to her, thrumming over the computer connection.
“Yes,” she breathed. “Anything.”
“First, what are you wearing?”
It was all Katherine could do to hold back her laugh. “Not that again.”
“Seriously. I want an answer.”
She shrugged. “A cocktail dress. Black. With heels.”
“Put on your teddy,” he commanded, and she complied.
She slipped off her dress and bra, dropping both on a forgotten pile on the floor, and then pulled her satin teddy from her suitcase. It felt cool slipping over her skin. It caught on her hard nipples, making them grow even fatter. She moaned as she rubbed them, you know, just a little, to enhance the mood.
“Mmm. It feels good.”
“Are you wearing the teddy?”
“Yes.”
“Perfect. What do you have on under it?”
“Nothing. Well, panties.”
“Perfect. Do you still have the heels on?”
“Yes.” She did. As much as she hated them, she loved the way they looked. Besides, the heels completely changed the way she felt in the black teddy. In the full length mirror behind the door, she looked practically sexy.
“How do you look?”
“Hot.”
“I’ll bet.” The words were guttered, heavy and harsh. “I wish I could see you. Now. There’s something I want you to do.”
“What?”
“I want you to go and get two ice cubes.”
“What?” Was he insane? She’d have to walk all the way through the hotel suite to the kitchen. “In my teddy?”
“Yes.”
“Savage, he might see me.”
“What if he does? Maybe he’ll fuck you. That’s what you want. Isn’t it?”
Katherine didn’t answer.
“Isn’t it? Deep down, you want him inside you.”
Again, she didn’t respond.
“Answer me.”
“Yes. Yes.”
“Then go to the kitchen. In your teddy. And get two ice cubes. Oh. And Wildkat?”
“Yes?”
“Before you go, take off the panties.”
“What?”
“Take them off. I want you completely exposed. And I want you to know how exposed you are.”
“I can’t.”
“You can. If you don’t, I’ll have to punish you.”
“But—”
“No Kat. No questions. Just do it.”
She stood by the door for several minutes, contemplating this challenge and, most especially, how it made her feel. She was liquid inside, and quivering. She would, she decided at length, go to the kitchen and get the ice cubes wearing her teddy, but she would leave her panties in place. Utterly bare-assed was a little further than she was willing to go, especially when Adam might discover her at any moment. Besides…Savage would never know she had cheated just a little.
Slowly she turned the knob and peered out into the hallway. There was no one there. She slipped through the shadows and into the living room, heading toward the kitchen. She pushed open the swinging door and froze.
There stood Adam Trillo cracking out ice cubes at the counter. His chest was bare—a magnificent panoply of rippling muscles and scattered darkling dust. He wore only baggy gray sweatpants held up, it seemed, by the enormous bulge in the front.
“Hey there Wildkat,” he purred. “What took you so long?”

Interview with Siobhan Shannon
Which of your book’s characters is most like you and why?
Olivia and I share a great deal. Like Liv, I never seem to understand the rules until I break one. Like her, I love first and ask questions later, and most of all like her, I’m willing to do whatever it takes to make happiness for myself and my loved ones.
What was your biggest challenge in writing your current release?
The editing process is hard. Having someone meddle with my writing gives me the heebee-geebies. I have to take a deep breath and pretend it isn’t my writing that I’m revising. When it gets really bad, I go to yoga.
When did you know you were destined to be a writer?
About the fifth grade. My mom saved a story for me from back then in my little-girl handwriting with magazine pictures for illustrations. I think the teacher even did some editing for me in red. I’ve been writing ever since, everything from essays and blog posts to poems, novels and short stories. In college, professors would assign papers and everyone else would be like, “Ah, man, anotherpaper,” and I’d be like, “Yay! Another paper.” I started submitting my writing to publishers when I was 18. Eventually, I began to find the right places for my writing.  I love telling stories and I always have. One of my friends called me a reconteuse. I had to go look it up, but she’s right, that’s exactly what I am.

Speed Round (just to get to know you better):
Coffee, tea or other: Coffee in the morning, bubbly water in the afternoon, and tea when I’m feeling low.
Music preference: Irish traditional and Jazz. There’s a surprising crossover between the two.
Favorite movie: Treasure of the Sierra Madre, with Humphrey Bogart. It’s a lesson in human nature.
Dog, cat, or other: I love my Lab. Not oddly at all, she loves me.
Favorite author: Graham Greene, particularly The Power and the Glory.  Patrick Rothfuss is great, and I’ve recently discovered Neil Gaiman.
Favorite actor: David Tenant
Favorite television show: MASH. This little gem got me through the darkest hours of my life.

Excerpt:
I didn’t set out to deliberately ruin my life. I don’t guess anyone does, and then when the walls come crashing down, it’s just so . . . surprising. One day you wake up and nothing looks the same anymore and the next, people are asking you why you’re destroying their lives. I don’t know. I woke up on one of those desperately close mornings in July when the air feels like a blanket and nothing was the same any more. I didn’t even like my coffee the same way anymore. It might have been meeting Daisy Bledsoe. Or it could have been a virus, God only knows. All I can tell you is that on that morning, everything changed.
She wasn’t the prettiest girl I ever saw. She was tall and weathered and snaggle-toothed, but when she smiled her face lit up and you couldn’t resist smiling too. She certainly wasn’t the smartest girl I ever met, either. There were times I wanted to pull my hair out over the things she did. But on that July morning, she mesmerized me, and before I knew it I was making decisions that snowballed into a freight train that could have ruined my life. Strange but true, I think I’d do it all over again.
I must have been about twenty when Pa sent me to Tom Harmon’s place to see if he had a fuel pump for our old tractor. I had never been out to Harmon’s before and missed my turn. I came down a road that just kept getting narrower until I had no choice but to go forward. I found myself on a grass track that petered out among dead machines and rusting farm implements in front of her house. I finally found a place where I could turn around, but that was when I met Daisy.
It was hot and I had the windows down. I came round a bend and a big black dog decided I didn’t belong there. He jumped up at the window of Pa’s truck raising hell. All I could do is hit the brakes and lean away.
“Max!” I heard a voice like a sack of gravel shout, “Come heah.” Max shut up and left the side of my truck, making me happy. One look at her, and I knew I was lost.
   “Can I help you?”
   “I believe you already have.”
