BURNING ASH is available today!

I’m so excited about the release of BURNING ASH, the next book in the Forgotten Brotherhood series, available today!

Asher is an ancient vampire who is hooked on reality television. He’s irreverent at times and likes to tease, but that hides a lot of pain. He’s more special than Jo Radcliffe, vampire hunter, realizes. Deadly games have consequences, and someone is playing games with them both. They must work together to hunt down who is behind it all. The more time they spend together, the closer they become. Jo gets pulled deeper and deeper into Asher’s world, but will their relationship survive when Jo discovers the truth?

Burning Ash
Forgotten Brotherhood, Book 3

No one is more surprised than Asher, one of the oldest vampires on Earth, that he's attracted to vamp hunter Jo Radcliffe. She's smart, a talented slayer, and she's gorgeous. Something about her pulls at him, like no one ever has before. For a man, whose name strikes fear in everyone––this is something new and intriguing. And quite possibly deadly, if she discovers his secret.

Jo has two things in common with the handsome Asher––they are both slayers and someone is messing with them in a very-much-trying-to-kill-them way. She's not so happy about joining forces with a dude she doesn't know. But he's sexy as hell and really good at his job as one of the Forgotten Brotherhood, whose business it is to execute misbehaving paranormals.

She knows she's bait in a larger plot to harm Asher and the Brotherhood. And there is nothing he won't do, no line he won't cross, to keep her safe––which may be the weakness that destroys them both.

TEASER:

“How did you become a hunter?”

He tried to figure out the best way to put it and still be honest. “I was born into it, I guess you could say.”

“That’s tough.” She set her cup down and wrapped her fingers around it.

“How about you?” Most fell into it after something very bad usually happened to them or someone they loved.

“When I was a teenager, I discovered there were monsters in the world.”
He wanted to know every detail but pushing would only make her shut down. “Why didn’t you walk away? You could have had a normal life.” It’s what most did. They buried their horror-filled memories and tried to forget.

The other path, the one less taken, was dark. And once you started down it, there was no way back.

“Someone has to kill them.” Such a simple answer, yet it said everything he needed to know about her.

If you want to read more of Asher and Jo’s story, you can find it here:

Demons and Leaf Peeping?

Greetings all! Today’s my first day on Decadent Divas and I’m stoked!

Here’s a little about me... For as long as I can remember, I’ve been fascinated with all things paranormal. From the time I was a little girl, my vivid imagination led me on ghost hunting missions with my invisible friend, Frank. As an adult, I’ve evolved that rich fantasy life into a love of travel and exploration that has sent me on exciting expeditions from New England to Rome in search of old cemeteries and underground burial sites. Along with my studies of demonology and angel lore, I use inspiration from my travels to write action-packed urban fantasy and paranormal romance novels full of wickedly sexy characters and creepy places. An unhealthy love of hockey and a 20-year military career have given me a penchant for strong men and big guns. So that’s me!

Let’s talk about my favorite month---October! Ah, yes, this is the month of fresh apples, pumpkin everything, the rich smell of decaying leaves, leaf peeping, and demons. Wait? What? Did I just say ‘demons?’ You bet your fine booty I did! What better time of year to bring these guys into the limelight? After all, demons need love too!

Introducing my Demons After Dark series! It’s hot paranormal romance featuring unlikely alpha heroes who will make you laugh, cry, and swoon. Known only as Trinity demons, this band of brothers was stripped of their powers and violently exiled from Hell. Forced to live as humans, they’re left with no memories and no weapons while a secret society quietly plots Lucifer’s demise. For these big, bad demons, adjusting to life as a human is, well, harder than Hell!

I just released the third book and couldn’t be more excited! Koivu and Micki’s story is the most emotional, darkest, and most explicit of the three books. This couple isn’t just compatible—they’re explosive. Here’s a short excerpt:

“Say yes, Micki. I need to hear you say it.” His mouth ate at her throat, his beard scratching deliciously as he circled back to bite down on her ear. “I need—” He groaned in barely-leashed frustration, gritting out from between clenched teeth, “I need to take you someplace . . . dangerous and dirty. Will you let me?”

While Koivu and Micki are settling in to their crazy lives in Brooklyn, I'm heading to Montreal, Canada for some cooler weather and some epic leaf peeping with my buds. With any luck at all, I'll be able to wear a sweater! I love the cold so much that my books are very often set against a backdrop of snowy winter. Book one in this series is called "Vanek." Vanek and Dylan end up snowed in for days. They got bored. Sparks flew. Here's what happened:

“Hey, check this out,” Vanek called to Dylan as he set a box down in the middle of the bedroom.
“Oooh, that looks interesting.” She knelt beside it, running her fingers over the intricately-carved pattern. “Pretty.” Tapping the latch impatiently, she said, “Come on. Open it up. Let’s see what’s in it.”
The shiny brass latch came open easily. Moving as one, they peered into the box. “Well, I’ll be triple damned.” Her dumbfounded face probably mirrored his. “Looks like someone’s into bondage.”
The words lay between them like an unexploded grenade.
He was almost afraid to look at her again. Would she be horrified? Shocked? He braved a glance and breathed a sigh of relief. She looked more surprised than shocked. This day was getting better and better.
“Let’s see what we’ve got here.” He started to unpack and the air between them seemed to thicken with each item he removed. As he rummaged through the box, he felt his pulse thud with sudden lust. Holy hell, the fuck fairies were smiling on him. Between the snowed in cabin, the smoking hot woman, and the box of toys, he was surely living a wet dream.
“Handcuffs, silks, and leather restraints.” He put them in a neat pile, watching her reaction closely. She hadn’t said a word, but examined each item intently once he put them down. Next, he started on the toys, holding each up as he named it. “Flogger. Paddle. Ball gag.”
She’d been trying to hold it back, but she finally choked on a laugh, and picked up the ball gag. Sending him a mock stern look, she warned, “Don’t even think about it.”
“How about these little treats?” He held up the last three items. “Dildo. Lube. Butt plug.”
“Butt plug?” she repeated, trying not to laugh again. Shaking her head, she picked it up and turned it this way and that, clearly trying to imagine how it worked.
He plucked it from her fingers and held it up in its usual position. “It goes like this. In your ass.”
She gaped at him, so he added helpfully, “That’s what the lube’s for.”
“You’re an idiot. I know what it is. I just haven’t seen one in person.” She added, “And don’t get any ideas. I don’t trust you that much.”
“You just hurt my feelings, babe.” He bounced the plug from hand to hand. “Are you sure? There’s plenty of lube.”

I'm offering a coupon for the month of October. Consider it a Halloween treat!

I hope ya'll enjoyed the peek into my new series! I'm sure I'll post more in the next few months!
Happy Halloween!

Party time and you're invited!

Happy October!

Nothing makes me happier than being surrounded by people who are immersed in their joy. And man, do we need joy right now. Which is why I love putting together parties and next weekend I am hosting a monster of a party.

So I am inviting you to the Passport to Romance reader appreciation event. The "booktail" party of the year is where readers and authors can come together and celebrate the romance genre.

What makes the Passport to Romance so awesome? First off, it's free. Yep. Admission is free! Also this is NOT a book fair. So anything the authors have to promote their books is given away. Books, pens, bags, some authors even have wine glasses!

And who are these fabulous authors you can chat with? Check it out-

Darynda Jones
Debra Elise JC Hay
Sarah MacLean Amanda Forester Joanne Jaytanie
Rebecca Zanetti Cheri Champagne Linda Hope Lee
Cherry Adair Merien Grey/Kate Brass Margaret Mallory
Karen Rose Jasmine Silvera Lauren Marie

I know!

What else makes this party awesome? These guys!

I know!

So what else could possibly make the event even better?

Raffle baskets. That's right. You do want to bring some money for raffle tickets. They are $1 each or 12 for $10. We have baskets from Dena Garson, Christy Jefferies, Karen Rose, and lots of other surprises. And a portion of the proceeds go to the Domestic Women's Abuse Network. These are an amazing group of people who've helped women and children escape horrible situations and find a new path. We are honored to work with them.

So when and where is this magnificent event taking place?

October 14th from 6pm-8pm at the Bellevue Westin in Bellevue, Washington.

And if you can't join us in person, join us in spirit and online by following me on Facebook. I'll be live streaming some of the event.

Books, writers, pretty men, raffle baskets? My heart is happy already.

Until next time, y'all!

Hero Unleashed- Get it now!

Have you scooped up your copy of Hero Revealed yet? Awesome! Now you can pre-order Hero Unleashed, the next book in the Heroes of Saturn series in time for the holiday break.

It was his duty to protect her. Even from himself.

Princess Amaryllis should have been sad to be exiled from her home on the Saturn moon, but on Earth she finds freedoms she never imagined existed. She embraces her new home with big, open-mouthed kisses and establishes herself as a prominent businesswoman catering to the humans’ most intimate desires. When the former head of her father’s guard enters her domain, he rouses not only old insecurities but also a burning desire to see him lose the formal constraints and succumb to the promise in his command.

Lucian Kilsgaard was a warrior without a mission until he received word that an assassin had been sent to ensure the exiled princess does not return to reclaim the throne. He goes to warn the princess and instead of the unconfident, impulsive girl he remembers, he finds a bold temptress. How can he protect her when all he wants is to sink into her softness? He vows the line between protector and lover will never be crossed, yet Amaryllis will test his resolve until he takes exactly what he needs.

Excerpt-
“You’re a hero, Lucian.” She paused, mere millimeters away from his bare chest. “If I was that boy’s mother, I would drop to my knees and offer you anything you wanted.”
“A—” He cleared his throat. “Thank you is sufficient enough.”
“Tell me about your last lover.”
He blinked, clearly confused by the change in subject as the furrow in his brow deepened. “What?”
“Your last lover. Rumor has it you’ve gone a long time without female companionship, even though you weren’t lacking for willing participants.” She trailed her finger along the edge of her low-cut blouse. Her nipples tightened when his gaze followed the movement. “Why?”
“Your Highness,” he began but she stopped him with a hand across his mouth.
“No lies. Why?” She moved her palm to lay it against his jaw.
He licked at his lips. “I’m a warrior. A battle strategist. I don’t know how to woo a woman. And human women are so…fragile.”
      “Physically or emotionally?”
A light flashed in his eyes and a tingle of awareness hummed in the air between them. “Both.”
“I guess it’s a good thing I’m not human or fragile.”
“But you are. You’ll deny it with your last breath, but I’ve hurt you when all I want to do is care for you.”
      “You do?”
      “Of course.”
He lifted his hand and barely grazed his finger along her jaw before dropping it at his side and making a fist.
      “Touch me, Lucian.”
      “I can’t. I shouldn’t.”
But he wanted to. Gods did he want to. Never before had she felt such a sense of want than she did looking up into his tortured eyes. His craving was bittersweet, like a fine Belgian chocolate sitting on the flat of your tongue. The flavor melting ever-so-slowly as you were forced to hold still when all you wanted was to chomp the decadent treat to bits and gobble it whole.
The promise of experiencing the full force of Lucian’s passion made her stomach clench and her pussy gush. She leaned forward and scraped her teeth over his puckered nipple then used the tip of her tongue to follow a rivulet of water down his torso.
“I know you, Lucian. I know who you are. You don’t need to hide from me. Never from me.”

Anna Alexander's The Marlboro Man is here!!!

Happy March y'all!!

The second book in the Men of the Sprawling A Ranch series is here and Mark is ready for your reading pleasure.

We all have a secondary character that does not leave you alone. In my Saturn Series, it was Bale and Marco DeWinter. In the Sprawling A it was Mark. That man stood behind my shoulder one day and demanded his own book. And from that the entire Sprawling A Series was born.

Read. Enjoy. And welcome back to the ranch!

Blurb:

For years Mark Webber was in love with his best friend’s girl, and it had become well past time for him to move on for greener pastures. Not long after he left, Mark realized the Sprawling A was his home, so now he’s back, ready to leave the past in the dust. While he was gone there had been some changes at the A, including a new ranch hand who comes with a sister that stirs Mark’s passions in ways he never felt before.

Gabriella Montoya has come to the ranch seeking shelter after a failed marriage. Not only is she welcomed with open arms, but she gains six big brothers. But one man doesn’t look at her like he would a sister. Oh, no. Mark gazes at her with a heat and promise in his eyes, and damn if he doesn’t deliver on every one. But Gabriella’s not certain she’s ready to embark on another relationship so soon with a man who has made no bones about wanting forever, especially when both of their pasts rise from the ashes and threaten everything they have.

Excerpt:

How could one man’s gaze burn her like a blowtorch set on high?

During her marriage, the sexual chemistry had been good, but it was nothing like the excitement she felt sitting next to Mark at the dinner table. All of her senses were attuned to his every move, his every breath. From his scent of Old Spice and spearmint to his low rumbles of appreciation. The shifting of his thigh muscles alongside hers under the table brought to mind images of him thrusting inside her wet and achy sheath. The glances he flicked her way were hotter than the peppers on her tongue, and she lost track of how many glasses of water she drank in an attempt to cool the fire he lit within.

God, she hoped she responded correctly to the questions the others asked her during the meal. The last thing she needed was to come off as a complete goober, or worse, have Rafe start to suspect something was up.

“Ladies.” Ben stood and gathered his dishes. “That was excellent. You sure know how to spoil us.” The rest of the men nodded.

Mark stopped her as she began to stack the dishes. “There’s a rule around here. Whoever cooks dinner gets to relax while the others clean up.”

“Yeah,” Greta chimed in. “I usually sit on the swing with a glass of wine. Why don’t you join me? You can have the wine, I’ll make do with grape juice.”

“All right. But I can at least help clear the table.” She collected a few utensils and then her plate.

When she stood, Mark’s big hand covered hers, just like it had that morning. In the back of her mind, she was vaguely aware that the others had gone into the kitchen and they were all alone in the dining room. Her gaze lifted to his face and her lips parted as she saw the desire in his eyes. A second later his mouth was on hers, hot and firm. She barely registered the texture of his lips when he pulled away and disappeared without a sound into the kitchen.

Shock held her immobile for several long seconds before her tongue swept her lower lip in an attempt to recapture his flavor.

Lexi Post Has a New Release - Cowboys Never Fold - Contest & Chances to Win!!!

Cowboys Never Fold
                                                 By Lexi Post

Who doesn't love a yummy cowboy. The Divas do...

Lexi Post is visiting the Decadent Divas today.  She is also running a contest so check out her links below for a chance to win!!

Blurb:
COWBOYS NEVER FOLD – Award-Winning Author Lexi Post – When a cowboy honors a promise by working at a nudist resort, he discovers that to win the heart of the sexy owner he will have to go all-in, but that could mean baring more than his soul.

Excerpt #1
Wade took the plate from her and brought it to the sink. “I’ll just wash these up for Selma and head to bed.”
Kendra was off the stool and grabbing the sprayer before he could reach it. “No. You made the meal for me. I can clean up. You’ve probably had a long day. When did you get up?”
He shrugged. “Probably around five. I didn’t really pay attention.”
“Exactly. I’ll stay and clean up. Go get a good night’s sleep. You have a lot of ordering to do tomorrow based on your lists.”
His eyes widened. “You really approve of everything?”
She put her other hand on her hip. “Listen. I don’t know anything about horses. All I know is what nudists like based on research. I’ll come up with something for the nude riding, but I need an expert to set up my stables and trails. You’re that expert. I’m not going to get in the way of that.”
He smiled, his eyes almost twinkling in his excitement. “Well then, boss. I definitely need to be doing the dishes for you.”
He reached for the sprayer and without thinking, she pulled it out and sprayed him.
“Oh my God, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to.” She stared as the shirt conformed to Wade’s body, the contours of his chest coming out in full relief. Turning away from the titillating sight, she grabbed a couple hand towels hanging next to the sink. She just didn’t want him to do the dishes. Now he would think she was the worst boss in the state.
Turning back to help him dry off, she froze. Wade had taken off his shirt, revealing his moist chest and arms. The man’s pectorals were what she called mountain muscles and the wet hair that formed a line straight down the middle of his rippled abdominals disappeared beneath blue jeans being held up by a big-buckled belt. She tried to look at his face but was drawn to his large biceps, which had been hidden by the shirt. She followed those to his shoulders where more muscle explained why he appeared so broad. He was. The man was walking muscle.
“Are those for me?”
His voice snapped her out of her drool-like state, and she looked him in the eye. The man’s lips formed a slow smirk.
“Yes. Here.” She gave him the towels and he pushed one back at her.
“Can you dry my back? That water sprayer is strong.”
“Right, of course.” She was bumbling like an idiot, but what woman wouldn’t be. Damn, the man was built. He made her feel petite despite being taller than average. He had to be well over six feet. Stepping behind him, she was treated to another tantalizing view. As he wiped at his chest and arms, the muscles in his back danced, showing the many layers he had. She hesitated to touch him. He would be warm and so male.
“Isn’t it wet?” He rolled his shoulders. “It feels like it.”
“Yes. Yes, it is.” She forced herself to use the towel against his skin, careful not to let her hand touch him. If it did, she wouldn’t be able to stop. She wiped at the moisture until he was dry, then took a deep breath and stepped around him, tossing the towel on the sink. “I’m sorry. I was just trying to keep you from washing the dishes.”
“No harm. I’ve been wet before.” His smile appeared again, and she had the strongest urge to kiss it.
Switching her weight to her right hip, she crossed her arms. “Well, I guess now you have to let me do the dishes.” She meant to sound flippant, but didn’t carry it off well.
He held out his towel. “Yup. Definitely got your way…this time.”
She uncrossed her arms to take the towel and crushed it against her chest. “Have a good night.”
He shrugged his large shoulders, causing her insides to tighten. Why did she have to be so susceptible to broad shoulders, and why did he have to have the most muscular ones she’d ever seen?
“It all depends on the bed.” He winked and brushed past her. Their arms touched for a second, his clean male scent, which was stronger now without his shirt, washed over her and almost buckled her knees.
She couldn’t resist and turned to watch him walk away, his back teasing her with its muscle play until the batwing doors swung closed behind him.
She pulled the damp towel up to her face and inhaled. God, the man smelled good. Damn. Built, well mannered, organized, knowledgeable and with a dark tan above his waist that made her want to crawl down his pants to see how far it went.

She groaned. Tan to the waist meant he was outside without a shirt more often than not. “Hell.” She was definitely screwed…or rather wanted to be. Could she ask Dale for another replacement stable manager?

Celebrate Veteran's Day with Anna Richland and His Road Home

What better way to celebrate Veteran's Day than a story about a veteran written by a veteran.

His Road Home is a spin-off story from Anna Richland's Immortal Viking Series and is the perfect story to read in time for the holidays. And not only do we have an excerpt, we also have my interview with Anna about military men and her research on classic cars. :)

“Tantalizing … a raw, emotional story.” – PUBLISHERS WEEKLY (Starred Review)

To avoid insulting a matchmaking Afghan warlord, Special Forces medic Rey Cruz needs to find a fiancée, fast. He never expects to see the hometown girl whose downloaded photo he uses in an engagement picture, because he’s pounding sand half a world away.
Until the day he’s flat on his back in a military hospital and the woman whose life he blew apart with a suddenly world-famous engagement walks into the room. He’d love to tell Grace Kim how his lie started and set everyone–her boss, the press and their families–straight. Love to, but he can’t. He can’t talk. Can’t write. Can’t get either of them out of the mess his bright idea caused.
Marine Fisheries statistician Grace Kim is shocked to find out she’s engaged to a hero. When she’s offered a plane ticket to visit her “fiancé,” she takes it, but the soldier she meets isn’t what she expected and doesn’t have any answers.
Army Strong
By the time Rey convinces her to help drive his classic muscle car across the country, Grace knows how to play the role of caring fiancée. Thanksgiving with kind strangers in South Dakota makes Grace wonder what place she’ll have in Rey’s new life once he’s finally home.

Excerpt:
“I understand Sergeant Cruz is unmarried.” Abdullah shared the tribal leader’s words. “I humbly offer him one of my daughters.”
While Dostum watched like a one-eyed, toothless cupid cradling an AK-47 instead of a bow and arrow, Cruz forced himself to obey the rules for breathing before a five-mile high parachute jump: inhale steadily, no gulps, no matter what instinct urged, no matter that he could barely keep his lips from puckering with rejection. “That’s–”
“Shut up.” The interpreter’s voice quavered. “He’s giving you a gift that matters a hell of a lot to him and in his mind, doing you a favor. Half these men can’t afford to get married, and if you throw his daughter in his face, the insult might make them open fire.”
The air stopped moving except for two flies close to Cruz’s cheek. An insider attack: when a local soldier snaps and kills his allies. Green-on-blue, briefings called it.
“Get me out of it.” He missed his former teammate Wulf’s interpreting skill like a guy missed his nuts. He disliked giving so much power to someone the team had known for six months but saw no choice. “Whatever you have to say.” He tried to smile, but his lips were too dry to peel away from his teeth.
Undershirts always soaked through, the price of wearing more than forty pounds of protective gear, but now sweat chilled on his skin. The sun was a joke, making those weapons shiny enough to reflect glare, but not providing a bit of warmth.
The two men talked while he watched a fighter in a striped vest, the man whose hands were closest to his rifle. Target one if this went to hell. Shoot, roll left to cover Abdullah and count on the rest of the team to roar through the gate and clean the courtyard. One on twelve for ninety seconds, survivable only on paper.
He didn’t have to field test the plan. His terp pulled a save from the faded Tigers hat that never left his head.
“Relax, lover boy.” Abdullah flung an arm across his shoulders.
Cruz wasn’t sure whose pits gave off the worst funk; his, the man hugging him or the two Afghans bringing them tea, flatbread and lentil paste.
“Told Dostum you’re engaged to a nice girl back home—”
An Afghan with a miraculous mouth of teeth pounded Cruz on the back to dislodge the bread stuck in his windpipe choking him. “What?”
“And because American law doesn’t allow two wives, you regretfully cannot accept this honor, but you’ll bring gifts next week to show how much you appreciate his generosity.”
“Great. We’ll haul a pallet of rice, but don’t let him think he’s getting weapons.” Wily bastard might have set up the incident to bag more rocket-propelled grenade launchers.        “If proud papas start offering me wives but settle for swag, I know who to blame.”
Abdullah raised his hands, palms out as if to deny his responsibility, then laughed as he turned them into finger-pistols pointed right at Cruz. “By the way, he expects a photo. He wonders what kind of woman American soldiers marry.”
“No problem.” A fake fiancée. He’d almost rather risk the business end of an AK-47.
